20-20THRIVE, The 12 Week Year and Teaching Old Dogs New Tricks

I read a lot. Maybe too much. And when it comes to books on business/self-leadership/frameworks, it feels like I’ve seen this before. Kind of like The Force Awakens feels nice and fuzzy because it does redo the original Star Wars in a fresh way. So I guess I’ll play, as long as it adds something new to old content.


Case in point: The 12 Week Year by Brian Moran is great. It feels very familiar but has a twist on how to bring more urgency into your goal setting. 90 days as opposed to a year framework, really. One-week reviews instead of monthly reviews. You get the picture. It’s a fresh take on an old theme, and worth checking out.


It makes me think of what I’ve been doing lately. I have been revisiting old classics and frameworks, building AI prompts to re-introduce them into my business and personal frameworks, and driving through obstacles, solving problems and reaching milestones as a result.
