As part of what I do for the Entrepreneurs' Organization, we recently held a powerful workshop on AI-Powered Growth Hacks to help businesses clarify their "WHY", focus on their biggest fans, and use the principles of books like Oversubscribed and Fanocracy to create a high-impact sales approach. The workshop was a closed event to members, but here's a friendly recap and some actionable prompts for you to implement today!

Why Your Business "WHY" Matters

Your core purpose isn't just a feel-good tagline—it's the backbone of your strategy. It unites your team, attracts loyal customers, and defines your long-term vision. A clear "WHY" ensures you're not just running a business but making an impact.

Fanocracy: Turn Customers into Raving Fans

Inspired by Fanocracy by David Meerman Scott, we explored how to build communities around businesses by nurturing authentic, emotional connections with your audience. The goal? To have fans who choose you, not just customers who buy from you.

The Power of Scarcity and Social Proof

Drawing from Oversubscribed by Daniel Priestley and Influence by Robert Cialdini, we looked at how the psychology of scarcity, reciprocity, and social proof can drive demand. These strategies help you sell more and better by creating buzz and urgency while building trust.

Actionable Prompts to Get Started

We’re sharing the prompts from the workshop to guide you in applying these principles to your business. Simply copy, tweak, and let AI do the brainstorming!

1. Core Purpose Exploration

"My business specialises in [describe your business or industry]. Help me craft a Core Purpose statement that goes beyond profit, focusing on the deeper impact we can have on our customers' lives. Provide three examples of inspiring Core Purpose statements for similar businesses."

2. Building a Fanocracy

"I want to build a community of passionate fans around my business using the principles from Fanocracy by David Meerman Scott. My business specializes in [your business/industry]. Act as my advisor and guide me in implementing these strategies."

3. Oversubscribed Principles

4. Innovative Marketing Ideas with AI

"Using my Core Purpose of [insert Core Purpose], help me brainstorm three innovative marketing ideas to engage my customers and deepen their connection with my brand. Focus on ideas that are creative, scalable, and aligned with my industry ([describe your business/industry])."
